HYDRATION WITH AVOCADO
Avocado is considered effective for moisturizing dry hair due to its abundance of vitamins and nutrients that help hair recover.
- Mix half a ripe and mashed avocado with 2 tablespoons full of olive oil;
- Mix well until the ingredients turn into a cream;
- Apply to wet or damp hair;
- Let the homemade mask act for around 30 minutes on the hair; and
- Then, wash your hair normally, with the shampoo and conditioner of your choice.
HYDRATION WITH ALOA
Hydration with aloe vera is one of the most popular and passed down from generation to generation, especially appreciated by individuals with curly hair, who generally have naturally drier strands. In this recipe, the gel contained inside the aloe leaves is used.
- Remove the gel from an aloe leaf and place it in a container;
- Add half a glass of water to the pot and mix until smooth;
- Wash your hair only with shampoo and apply the recipe to the length of your hair, strand by strand;
- Put on a shower cap and let the mixture act on your hair for 30 minutes;
- Rinse well to remove any aloe residue; and
- Condition the hair and finish as you prefer.
HYDRATION WITH COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil is a popular natural ingredient for hydrating and moisturizing hair, providing deep nutrition to extremely dry hair.
- Wash your hair with shampoo;
- Separate a quantity of your favorite treatment cream and add a tablespoon of coconut oil;
- Mix well, until both ingredients are well incorporated;
- Apply the mixture to the entire length of the hair, section by section, avoiding the roots;
- Let the product act on the hair for between 20 and 30 minutes;
- Rinse well until all the mixture is removed from the hair and condition the locks; and
- Finish as usual, but remember to avoid tools such as straighteners and dryers.
HYDRATION WITH MAIZENA
Hydration with cornstarch is an unusual technique, but it can be very beneficial, as it helps retain moisture in the hair, sealing the cuticles and providing lasting hydration.
- Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and remove excess moisture from the strands;
- Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with a glass of water (200 ml);
- Bring to a boil and stir until it reaches a pasty consistency;
- Let it cool and mix a spoonful of your favorite hydrating mask;
- Apply to the entire length and ends of the hair;
- Leave it to act for around 30 minutes;
- After the action time, wash the hair with running water and apply conditioner; and
- Rinse the product and finish the strands as you prefer.
HYDRATION WITH MILK
Milk, rich in vitamins, proteins and amino acids, can nourish dry hair. To use milk as moisturizer, apply it to your hair, let it dry naturally and wash with shampoo and conditioner.
HYDRATION WITH OIL
You can use olive oil, a common product in the kitchen, to moisturize your hair. Mix a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil with two tablespoons of your treatment mask, apply to shampooed hair, leave on for 20 minutes, rinse and finish with conditioner. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids.
HYDRATION WITH CASTOR OIL
Castor oil is known to promote hair growth and can be used as a thermal protectant. To hydrate your hair, simply mix a few drops of the oil with your treatment mask and apply to your hair.
HYDRATION WITH ROSEMARY
Rosemary, rich in astringent, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant active ingredients, is believed to help with hair loss and hair growth. Prepare rosemary tea with 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary, apply to the scalp and lengths, wait for it to cool and then wash as normal with shampoo and conditioner.
HYDRATION WITH BANANA
Banana, known for its vitamins B1, B2 and B6, and high potassium content, is considered beneficial for dry hair due to these properties.
- Blend a banana, a spoonful of crystal sugar and 6 spoons of whole milk in a blender until it becomes a homogeneous mixture;
- Place the blended ingredients in another container and add 1 tablespoon of the hair mask you usually use;
- Now add a teaspoon of vegetable oil. It can be coconut, almonds, argan… you name it;
- Mix everything very well, wash your hair with shampoo, remove excess water and apply banana hydration along the entire length, avoiding the roots;
- Leave it to act on the hair for 20 minutes; and
- Rinse your hair well to remove all the cream and finish washing normally, with conditioner.
HYDRATION WITH OQUIA
Moisturizing with okra not only treats dry hair, but also reduces volume and promotes growth.
- Cut 5 okras into slices, removing the ends and leave them in a bowl of water for one hour. Then strain with a sieve;
- Separate the okra gunk that you strained and discard the rest. This is what you will use to hydrate your hair;
- In a container, place a tablespoon of a hydrating mask and mix well with the okra baba;
- Wash your hair only with shampoo, remove excess water and apply the okra baba mixture with mask only to the length of your hair;
- Put a cap on your hair and let the mixture act for 20 to 30 minutes; and
- Rinse the okra mask well from your hair and finish washing your hair with conditioner.
HYDRATION WITH COFFEE
Caffeine is known to promote hair growth, leading to the belief that hydration with coffee can strengthen and lengthen hair.
- Mix 3 tablespoons of hydration mask with 2 teaspoons of coffee powder and a teaspoon of coconut oil;
- Wash your hair with shampoo and remove excess water;
- Apply the mixture to the hair, only along the length, strand by strand;
- Let the mixture act on the hair for 20 minutes; and
- Rinse and finish washing normally with conditioner.
HYDRATION WITH ALMOND OIL
The oil is rich in vitamins and highly moisturizing. Apply it to your hair, strand by strand, and let it act for 30 minutes before washing with shampoo and conditioner.
HYDRATION WITH HIBISCUS FLOWER
The hibiscus flower, used as a tea, stimulates hair follicles and promotes healthy hair growth. To use, make an infusion with 5g of hibiscus flower in 200 ml of water, apply to your hair after cooling, massage the scalp and then wash your hair normally.
HYDRATION WITH HONEY
Honey in hair hydration provides incredibly soft and shiny hair due to its richness in vitamin E and amino acids.
- In a container, mix 4 tablespoons of honey and 8 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil;
- On dry hair, apply the mixture of honey and olive oil. Do this strand by strand to spread the products well;
- Leave it to act for 20 minutes; and
- Wash with shampoo to remove all residue from the mixture and finish with conditioner.
